Founding Backend Engineer
title: Founding Backend Engineer team: Engineering location: Remote (EU hours) description: Build the Operational Graph and the engine that turns operational signal into safe, reviewed action — placeholder role, illustrative until hiring opens. date: 2026-06-18
Placeholder role. Illustrative until hiring formally opens.
We're looking for a founding backend engineer to build the core of Nebbos: the Operational Graph that models how an organisation actually runs, and the engine that turns operational signal into safe, reviewed action — the foresight beneath it. This is the layer that decides what's worth a thought and what isn't — and that does the right thing only when a person has said it can.
You might be a fit if
- You're fluent in Python and TypeScript and comfortable moving between them.
- You've done real data and graph modelling — relationships, thresholds, timing — not just CRUD.
- You care about governance, auditability, and showing the system's work, not hiding it behind a clever model.
How we build
Keep the human in the loop. Show your work. Earn trust slowly. If that resonates, get in touch.
